our story
Nostalgia started out the trunk of a Honda Fit at our high school parking in 2017. Selling t-shirts out the back of a car, hustling like the Bay Area OGs we were inspired by, because that's what you do when you've got something to say and no one's handed you a platform yet.
Jaden's Filipino American, Humbert's Chinese American, and between us we grew up on the kind of stuff that doesn't always make it onto a t-shirt. The home-cooked food that smelled different from everyone else's lunch, the language switching coming home from school, the feeling of being from two places at once and belonging fully to neither until you decided to belong to both.
That Honda Fit is long gone, but the reason we started hasn't changed. Nostalgia makes streetwear that pulls from where we're from, not as a trend, but as the actual material we're made of.
We design for the kid who grew up between cultures and spent half his childhood translating one world to the other. We design for anyone who looks at something familiar: a pattern, a phrase, a flavor, a memory, and feels it hit different when it's made new again.
We're still building this thing the same way we started it: with people who get it, for people who live it.
